Sauvignon Blanc "Mathias"

Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc – these are the main varieties, which have made the Pfitschers very appreciated and valued over the years from the many wine drinkers. Since October 1st, a new, very limited wine is available: Sauvignon Blanc “Mathias” 2016
Named after the founder of the Pfitscher winery, Mathias is the burgundy idol of a Grand Cru: a terroir wine. A mineral, lively soil and a perfect microclimate get together with the precise handwork in the vineyards.
The single vineyard “Katherinerfelder” in Fiè allo sciliar on 900m a.s.l. is offering the optimal conditions. Only in the coming years, there are going to be around 1.500 to maximum 2.000 bottles produced of this premium wine. His debut has been celebrated during one of the most important wine exhibitions of Europe, and his accolade he received during our Pfitscher exhibition in March, where he has been presented in front of selected wine journalists.
Our aspiration was the creation of a big wine, who is impressing with his deepness, minerality and elegance like other top wines of the world. The Sauvignon Blanc “Mathias” 2016 is offered with an extremely limited availability of just 1.850 bottles.
